My name is Ali Shameem, and I am currently working at Surabaya Intercultural School, Indonesia as the Head of ICT as well as high school computer science teacher. Formerly, I was the educational technology director and head of computer science at King’s Academy, boarding school located outside Amman, Jordan. Prior to that I worked in my home country, Maldives, at many different institutions in a myriad of roles including as deputy principal of Dharumavantha School. I am passionate about educational technology, computer science education, and teacher development. I have a Ph.D. in learning sciences and technology and masters in instructional technology from Lehigh University and love to work with both teachers and students to facilitate learning and teaching with technology.
This blog is where I share my experiences and thoughts on educational technology. I believe technology can and should be used to learn with. As such, I like to explore tech tools and examine some of the problems, key issues, and approaches to the use of technology in educational settings including in schools, higher educational institutions.
